Juzen-taiho-to increased gastric motility and improved vincristine-induced gastrointestinal, but not hematological, adverse effects in dogs. This study suggested that Juzen-taiho-to may be applicable for gastrointestinal care in dogs receiving chemotherapy.
Cytokines in tumor microenvironment contribute to tumor growth, tumor progression, and regulation of the host anti-tumor response. As knowledge about the biological roles of cytokines in canine cancers increases and availability of biomarker testing in veterinary patients develops, better prognostication and therapy response assessment may improve the outcomes of canine patients with cancer.
Dogs with OSA have an altered cytokine production profile compared to healthy dogs that is not affected by the use of NSAIDs.
